Lysander Spooner (1808-1887) was an American legal therorist,
natural rights advocate, and abolitionist who wrote important works
challenging the monopoly of the U.S. Postal Service, supporting the
right of juries to nullify unjust laws, the unconstitutionality of
slavery, and opposing the expanding power of the federal government.
He is buried in the Forest Hills Cemetery in Boston. We plan to put
many of these works online in the near future.
